Tax rebate company taken 40% can I claim back??

Hi in September I received an e mail that I thought was from HMRC in that it had hmrc tax rebate in the from section of the e mail and it used the green HMRC logo. It said to claim my rebate I should follow the link and complete the form. I realise now that I have authorised a company to claim on my behalf and the have taken 40% of my rebate. I feel they gave mislead me and I was perhaps more vulnerable due to the way they appeared to be from HMRC and I had just had a baby- so brain not in gear. I have e nMailed them and HMRC and to,d them I do not want them to represent me and I have asked for my money back for the above reasons- is there anything else I can do? It's the Tax Rebate Company
Thanks
Sarah
