I've looked these up and i dont think i needed PP as no change in material height etc... and its not listed as needing building control.... anyone help?
i will ring and ask as soon as i can but this buyers solicitor is asking so many things its driving me mad.... ive only got so much "free" time during the working day!

Someone's solicitor is actually doing their job, then? Can't see much wrong with that. Buying a house is likely to be the largest investment their client will make.
If you considered planning and building regs conditions and decided that your situation didn't require you to apply for either, why not just send that as a reply to this annoying solicitor?
They are not necessarily accusing you of anything; just clarifying the position re the work carried out.0 -
Is it a whole new roof or just the tiles/slates/felt that have been replaced. If whole new roof then that could come under the a structural change requiring Building Control Approval. Ring your local Building Control Department and they should be able to advise.0
