Baby on the way, could do with some advice

  • I know how lucky we are with Childcare, it is going to save us a fortune. Also the fact our child will be looked after by a loved one is really important to us. My mum is only 51 and couldn't be more excited to look after the baby, the only issue I can see is us not getting it back from her!

    My partner is planning on returning to work part time 3 days per week which when i've looked at tax etc seems to only leave us about £500 per month down. I agree with all the things you are saying, her being part time should hopefully make things easier for us.

    I am going to take up your suggestion and keep track of where things are going as they do, it'll be good to see how much is actually being wasted as it is.
