I have been wanting to make some wheat bags as presents and wondered where I would get the wheat from to fill them please?

I have used these lots of times before (for the past three years) and I have always found them very reliable.

Sorry to sound daft but what are wheat bags used for?0

Not daft at all Annie :O)
My sister in law introduced them to me a while ago. It's a bit like a hotwater bottle but you heat it up in the microwave and it stays warm for ages. If they have lavender in them too they smell wonderful :O) HTH Vanda xXxxXx Vanda xXx0 -

Hello annie123
Don't worry about asking questions on this site. As MSE Martin says 'There's no such thing as a stupid question'.;)
I bought a microwavable Hot-Pak herbal heat pack. The instruction label says 'To soothe aches and pains' and 'To use as a Hot Water Bottle'.........and 'Hot-Pak will stay warm for up to one hour'.
To be honest, I was disappointed with it. It quickly loses heat and is far inferior to a hot water bottle.;)
How does it work? Hot-Pak contains treated wheat grains and a selection of wonderfully relaxing herbs.
Simply warm in a microwave for two minutes to provide soothing relief from common ailments such as rheumatism, arthritis and menstrual pain etc.
I recommend a hot water bottle, they keep hot/warm for hours..............overnight even.;)
Kind Regards

Hi,
I;ve just found a link on a previous thread that suggests using rice instead of wheat. This seems a cheaper and easier option than wheat but does anyone know if it work as well as wheat does?
Thanks

I always use the wheat bags and find them better than the hot water bottles. I find they mould better to my body shape than a hot water bottle.
My children also use them for sports injuries, I make them different shapes for different parts of the body, some to wrap around knees etc.0 -
Not sure if the wheat needs to be a special treated wheat but your local health food shop will have it.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
