More CapQuest Help! Please

OK I have now contacted Capquest and they refuse to lower my payments to the ammount that best suits me. What are my options? They are saying that I won't get a second chance.

I'm tempted just to pull the DD and write to them advising why I have done so is this a wise move?

I am currently paying back 200 a month with 2.8K left to go and realistically I can afford somewhere between 50 -75 a month...

HELP!

Cheers
Moose

offer them the amount you can afford make sure you pay that amount regularly. worst case scenario they take you to court ( very unlikely this is capquest after all) No court will order you to pay more than you can afford.

Refusing to accept a reasonable offer breaches OFT Guidelines.
I would suggest that you write quoting these with an offer of what you can afford. The letter needs to go regsitered post and to include a notice to them that they can only communicate with you by letter and any further comms by phone will constitute haressment.

Now you need to be pretty certain that it is what you can afford, as in what your would have to pay if they were to take you to court, not what you feel like paying because you still want to go out and to buy things. But you must make allowances for paying your priority debts before you pay them.

i would suggestputting up an SOA so that people can help you work out a realsitic offer. See here for how to do http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280.

    Hope this helps.
