Ah - so windows not going down no doubt?
If you DIY, its a £28 part on ebay and an hour to fit, however Renault will tell you its a £400 job and they're making a "contribution"0 -

How was that a reflection on CH?
Both covered by Renault not CH.0 -

They could have charged me and said nothing about Renault,
The also took me to and from workplace, when required, As I say people quite right have issues with them but personally from sales and the service department ive never had a problem0 -

So in your mind they provided a good service by not fraudulently fleecing you?
Wow, your standards for good service are low.....glentoran99 wrote: »

And that is included in the hourly rate they charge everyone.
So effectively you were charged for it.0 -

I didn't pay though, They did the job, quickly and efficiently, no issues whatsoever, Why the problem with me having no problem with Charles hurst?
My back street mechanic wanted £240 to fix the problem Charles Hurst fixed for free. Would he be fraudulently fleecing me?0 -
I just don't trust them. The last straw was a couple of years ago. After a service they told me I needed new brake disks, in spite of them only having been replaced about 18 months before (by CH...).
When I checked the "healthcheck" documentation provided after the service, it just looked wrong, until I noticed it wasn't even for my car (wrong make, model and licence plate in the header). They never got me the correct paperwork.
They've always left me with a "did they actually do anything?" feeling. No confidence in them at all.0 -

A family member bought a car from them (I advised against it). The had a MOT service thing, flat fee, they take the car and service before MOT. Cheap enough at about £60.
Got a phone call before MOT with a massive list of work, tried the hard sell, it'll never pass without these fixed. Needed new tyres etc. He said put it through anyway. It passed.
I've said it before. If they were the last car dealer in Ireland. I'd get the ferry to Scotland.0 -

Because what you are telling us are your positives in dealing with them were actually paid for by Renault not CH.0 -

That's the positives, Ive never had an issue either from buying or from the service department, That doesn't seem to sit well with you though0 -

The two examples you subsequently cited as examples of good customer service by CH were paid for by Renault.
You then went on to say that it was good customer service that CH hadnt stiffed you on the repairs and kept the money from Renault.
I've no beef with CH. Their cars seem reasonably priced and prepared to a reasonable standard but i've not yet had a situation where they've had the car I / we want at a time when we were buying.
If you have had no issues with them then fine, but the examples you gave didnt support that.0
