BR and EDF

Hi everyone, declared bankrupt a month ago, have been notified by utility companies with new installment plans proposed (almost straightaway)-apart from EDF, have just called them and they say they haven't been informed yet and the balance is still outstanding-it goes back months and pre-bankruptcy I was getting about a letter a day, have had nothing for a month, so all very weird

any advice on what to do, otherwise I intend just to sit back and enjoy my heating and hot water until they write to me?

Send them a copy of your bankruptcy. (The top page with the reference number, the court, and the date of the hearing etc on it.) If they persist, tell your OR, because it's harassment if they're pestering you when it's a bankrupt debt.
Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

    You're not singing anymore........ You're not singing any-more! :D
  • Sorry think you misread, they're not pestering me at all, that's the point, however claim to have no record of my bankruptcy!

It's more of a practical enquiry really, just trying to get everything sorted today, bills, direct debits, etc
  • Just make sure you are budgeting/paying enough for your gas to not get into debt again. Otherwise, just enjoy being able to afford heating! :)
