i have posted on here before and got some very good advice, so i am back for somemore.
i have a few debt companies chasing us for things that we do not owe, i have done the satuary letters but they have come back with it is still within the time period, one of mine runs out this year and they now want me to send them a pound so they will release the detials of the catalogue that they say i own money on, i have never had this catalogue! and have been told that if i send a pound that they could class this as ownership of the debt!! These people are phoning me all the time at home and on my works mobile!! i ignore the calls but this is driving me mad, also we had a sofa that was returned to MFI many years ago as it was classed faulty and we had our money paid back to us what we had paid in, and we are being chased for just over £400 on this, i have spoken to MFI and they do not have any records going back this far, they think it was a staff error as we were refunded the money, they think somone put it in the wrong colum, we have moved house since then and i can not find anything that releates to MFI, again this company differant from the last is hounding us all the time.
Does andone have any more suggestions as i feel i can not take anymore!!!:mad:

Which letters did you send? The ones about the time, or the ones not acknowledging the debt?
They have a legal obligation to return this information within the timeframe (14 days), dont pay any moeny or acknowledge this debt.
Also ask them to keep all communications to mail now as they can be classed as harrasment, plus also you get documentation of all thats said then0
