AQA and mystery shopping

Just a quick question. I was accepted for both AQA and TNS mystery shopping, however, I have now left both without earning any money ( i realised that overtime in my current job was far more lucrative). Do i need to fill in any tax returns or contact HMRC about this? i do not want them to end up chasing me for money that i haven't earned.

many thanks,
Emma

Did you register as self-employed for AQA? If you did, it would be worth contacting the Revenue to see what they say and to register the end of your self-employment. It might be that they will automatically ask you to fill in a tax return at the end of the tax year, but if you are all up to date with your PAYE tax then there shouldn't be any more money to pay.

Do TNS put you on the payroll so that you pay your tax PAYE? Again, it would be worth checking with them, so that if there is any paperwork you need, it is all up to date.
