Especially if the top-ups are in cash, so when it's gone, it's gone. Interesting how much you realise you don't 'need'!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

@Cool Runnings - What about getting herbs and spices? Cheap, they last a long time and you can use them to vary dishes without spending huge amounts on things you may not like...A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

I buy herbs and spices in Ald1 and set £1 as a budget for these. Usually 2 different herbs and spices a week. Oh, and I also do weekly top-up shops with cashIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks basketcase, I have started doing that quite recently. I rearranged my kitchen so I have a nice spot now with a wooden tray holding my oils, salt, pepper, herbs and spices. All looks rather fancy!
I have a bit of space to add to the collection too. 0 -

Ooooooooh, get you!
As, you'll probably have guessed, mine are in a cupboard,
My story is that they keep better in the dark. And I'm sticking to it.
The fact I don't have a posh wooden tray has no bearing on the matter at all...:rotfl:A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

I might have overstated things a tad when I said it looked fancy - it certainly doesn't look posh perched as it is on top of an old TV stand! :rotfl:0 -
