Halifax Process - with security team / underwriters

Wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest. Broker advised valuation been done but the application is with the security team. Do you think he means the underwriters? It was too late to call him back to confirm what he meant and I'm now worried what that means.

Hiya, trust me I feel your pain as I am going through the same process and the "not knowing" is worrying to say the least.

I have not heard the term security team although if they have done the valuation I would assume that this has already been signed off by the underwriter and under the FCA guidelines it has to be checked to make sure it doesn't show any signs of money laundering.

I'm no expert but if you have got this far I would say it appears positive (providing you are not a money launderer obviously).

That'll be "Securities Team" ("security" as in the thing which the bank holds onto as collateral for your loan i.e. your house). Don't know what it means re. timescales though.
