Becoming a signatory

Hi,
I have been discharged 5 years last September. I have taken on a role which involves me being a signatory for a small charity that bank with HSBC. Will my past BR be a problem?
I have managed to obtain credit since my BR but I am going out of my mind with worry that I will be declined.
Thankyou for any advice

Discharged 5 years September means 6 years 2 months from order date or were you an early discharge?
After 6 years, marker is removed from credit report(s). Providing you have tidied up the loose ends of former creditors and kept your nose clean, nothing to worry about.
For the clearest picture, £2 credit report from each of the 3 agencies will tell you exactly where you are. CallCredit and Equifax are instantaneous, Experian about a week as they prolong the process with posted authorisation codes.0 -
Sorry discharged four years ☹ I use clear score is that no good? Thankyou for coming back0

Like anything free, you are limited on the data provided. Use the statutory report requests, it is cheap and gives all the information available to any organisation.
What is the structure of the charity, and are you an appointed member?0 -
Yes chairperson. I appreciate you coming back to me0

Thankyou for the reports. Just checked and HSBC still has me as default since BR so the signatory account is with them, I don't stand a chance!0
