Advice on mortgage application please anyone

Hi, I just wanted to ask if anyone can put my mind at rest regarding my recent mortgage application.
I will try to keep it short!
I have been told by Lloyds that my mortgage application has been signed off by the underwriters and Lloyds have already had an valuation of the property I am attempting to buy.
My concern is that I have already had a mortgage declined by Halifax due to one late payment within the last six months.
The guy from Lloyds has been great and reassured me it's fine but I'm not convinced. Would they have a valuation of they were not willing to lend??
I'm getting worried as I will render myself homeless if they refuse as my house has sold and I have banked with the Halifax for 10 years and when they declined it was a shock as my credit score is high.
Any advice would be great.

Unlikely they'd bring it up now......
Check noddle, clearscore to see if they have done a check.
Barclays did 3 different ones for me and all before valuation.
There're no full guarantees as always something can pop up, but if you have been told by them it's ok, regarding the missed payment, and the valuation has taken place, then it's looking positive
I would not pester them now and see what happens0 -
Hi. Many thanks.
I've checked before and they carried out 2 searches and these were prior to them organising the valuation.
He said at the time that it came up with a code (I think he said s9 or something) and that's why he checked with the underwriter and this is when he said that it was fine.
I'm probably over thinking it to be honest. I will wait until I see it in black and white. (Hopefully)0 -
Just a quick update. After 8 weeks since lloyds carried out the valuation on the property I was intending on buying and despite constant reassurance from the mortgage adviser that it was all fine they have now come back and said that the late payment is an issue.
Obviously due to his reassurance over the last 8 weeks everything else has been progressing well and surveys have been done on my property and draft contracts have been written up for signing and It now looks like I've got to pull out letting not only myself and my family down but the buyers and sellers of the resperspective properties. Not to mention the costs I will incur for the work they have done so far.
This could all of not gone this far if I had been told earlier. Why it's taken 8 weeks from valuation to a decision of "NO" is anyone's guess.
So a word of warning to all. Don't pay a mortgage payment late and check to see if it falls on a weekend or bank holiday because the banks will penalise you for them being on holiday!
If anyone else is in a similar situation or wants to know more about my exact circumstances please feel free to ask.
