 Hi.
Took yesterday off and had a very lazy day - the late nights and early starts had started to catch up with me, so I had a rest day (and it was very much enjoyed).
I have spent today catching up with ironing (i'm a thrill seeker, what can I say? :rotfl:) and made chocolate brownies with DD1 ... that are disappearing very quickly.
Accounts have been checked and are all in line with the budget :money:
Hope everyone is well.
Right, off for a cuppa.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Morning!
Low spend week over the half term week, which was great. Grocery shop was done on Saturday and came in on budget (it included light bulbs and stuff too, so quite pleased).
We did go to a local fireworks display on Saturday, which we all enjoyed and was budget friendly.
Yesterday was an NSD and today will be a LSD as have to get some childrens paracetamol from the pharmacy.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -

Hi.
This week has been very low spend, with the exception of next weeks grocery shop, which was done early as we have quite a busy weekend.
Most of the week has been spent at home due to DD1 having a bug. All better now, but it has meant that all bar one day so far have been NSD's :money:
We have a planned spend tomorrow as we are out with family, this has been budgeted.
I have done some typing work, but not as much as I would have liked with DD1 being unwell, but I will try to pick up a bit extra next week.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -

Happy Tuesday!
The weekend went by in a flash - very busy, but ended up being quite frugal. There was no movement in my accounts and I think OH spent £5 of his personal money.
The family meal we had planned was very generously paid for by a family member - it was a lovely gesture that was much appreciated.
Into this week and I have done the grocery shop - it was a well planned top up shop that came in at £12.01 :money:
At present, I have no other spends planned - only if something unforeseen arises.
Have a great week!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Well, I have officially lost my mojo, i've become really tired this week. Hopefully a slight change in diet and a few early nights will combat this.
I have managed to make myself useful today and have done a thorough clean of the living room, including washing cushion covers etc to keep the housework ticking over.
I have also made a list of jobs to be done around the house, as we have a number of jobs that we've been putting off/procrastinating about (some bigger than others), but hopefully the list will allow us to get jobs completed and ticked off bit by bit. Shamefully the list includes the 3 jobs that I put on our goals for 2018 - redecorate the hall/stairs/landing, replace dining table and get blinds fitted in the kitchen
Tomorrows goal - clean out kitchen cupboards (wipe out, organise etc).2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
:Good Morning!
So, yesterday was quite productive (well, as productive as it could be with a baby).
I got cracking on the jobs list I made on Thursday and I put grout reviver on the kitchen wall tiles to make the grout white again, it tends to get a bit dingy after a while and I thought it made a huge difference :T
I also cleared and wiped out two kitchen cupboards - they have been re-organised and all items replaced where they need to be. I have done DD1 craft cupboard (again) this morning - this is something that will need to be done regularly as she seems to hoard all sorts in there.
Today I will wipe out the kitchen drawers and two remaining cupboards. Tomorrow's jobs will be cleaning out the fridge freezer and seeing what we have as we move into the festive season - I would like to think about doing some batch cooking to make life more streamlined/nutritious. Plus I need to action some paperwork that has for the moment, just been placed in a pile so I know where it is when I come to work through it.
I'm feeling more inspired by just powering through a couple of days.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Hello!
Just dropping in with an update to keep me on track. The last couple of days have been less productive, but I have still managed to get jobs ticked off the list.
All kitchen cupboards and drawers have been emptied, cleaned and sorted - the fridge freezer is still to be sorted, but I have been working my way through the contents of the freezer using all those odds and sods that are lurking.
I also managed to list about 5 things for sale - so basically everything is moving (slowly) in the right direction.

Hello!!!
A busy few days in the NHS household - payday has been, money has been sent to various accounts for bills, savings (Wedding Fund) etc.
Last week the kitchen cupboards were emptied and cleaned and I have stocked them up with non perishable items. I will need to buy some perishable items as we go through the month (with the exception of week before xmas - I am going no where near a shop as they are bedlam!). But we have a good stock of staple items that in some cases, may well see us through longer than a month.
In other money news, my parents are putting towards a big present for DD1 and gave me their portion of money today :money:, this will go into the wedding fund, as we had already bought the item.
We do have a couple of family outings planned for Dec, but we have tried to keep it fairly budget friendly by doing one big outing (e.g. breakfast meet up) with multiple family members from each side. Other than this, we will probably go out one morning to do a santa visit with the girls in the local town, but that's it really.
The only other thing we may have to keep an eye out for is the school events, they are having a school fair, but not sure what date, so will put £5 by for DD1 (she is given a budget and has to decide what she wants to use it on, otherwise I just become a bottomless money pit [STRIKE]and get a house full of carp[/STRIKE]).
Hope everyone is keeping warm x2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0
