    Evening Diaryland,

yay Payday is almost upon us- just a little longer_pale_ Im counting the days now!! 4 for me...Its so needed!:o

Its been a nice week, ended better than it started which is always nice- OH is feeling better although he has a splutter of coughing if I ask him to do something around the flat...it can only last so long then I'm putting him back to work **evil laugh**

Following on from my spendy week last night and a clip from Dave Ramsey on the difference in using cash rather the plastic..I spent my lunch looking for a cash envelope purse- they were £30+ (the cute ones shipped form the US) but I stopped myself I figured Id just use some old small envelopes (from Xmas cards) I had a home...they are not as cute but they are free and If anything I can decorate them to jazz them up. Sounds pretty dumb but I was proud of myself- old me would've brought the wallet..I still want it yes but I will not waste the cash in an effort to save money. when I come across pretty materials and an old zipper ill try and make one;) Hopefully it'll work..Hopefully Ill save more if I feel the emotion of parting with actual cash *fingers crossed* Will do this with July's salary

the envelopes Ill need will be Groceries, holiday spends, Socialising, Gifts, Clothes shopping, Work (social&collections), Giving, Beauty.- Dear lord the list make me sound like a teenager *I wish*:rotfl: Just all my real spends are DD:):) I will use cash for what I can.

OH gave me funds for the upgrade so I paid that straight into the bank to cover the additional cost- quite looking forward to it, I've nt been to a caravan before.

Will try to keep a wrap on spends this weekend- have childrens party tomorrow- looking forward to seeing some of my friends, will visit my folks after and we dinner at oh best friends on Sunday.

My effort to lose weight has been utterly rubbsh- ive put on 5lbs:( So I will be tackling this- I look like a blimp!:o have been staling the weight loss challenges and threads today. My aim will be to at least go 5lbs in the right direction.

Moneywise- My aim is to save a £1000 this month to kick off the house deposit, giving thought to paying car insurance monthly to help make this possible. its going to be s tight month- holiday, car insurance, oh birthday.

Will be sure to take my list to months see if she has any of the bits I might need to borrow (ie- flask/cool bag/ disposable bbq/torch)

sorry I'm rambling on...best leave it there..hope you all have a fab moneysaving weekend

    Afternoon all,

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, I certainly have so haven't been on here much to update. Never know when it might decide to up and leave. A cheap weekend was had- birthday party and bbq with friends.

Pay day has come finally and yet again my budget has changed. So far Ive paid my share of the rent. Brought 1 box of contact lenses and should receive an extra 10 lenses (trial pack) for free- so 40lenses-£10.01. Signed up to slimming world £10 :) I know its an additional expense but i need some help on this one- alone my weight is going up and brought some food scales £5.99 (1/2 price argos). Brought OH bike seat £29.01 (part of bday pressy). I think thats it, also transferred £1000 to house deposit fund. Will live on the rest and make it last. Have taken out cash for food and will need to take spends out our holibubs £100- weve decided we will take some food and drink with us (will come out of grocery budget) and have the odd night out, hopefully will still manage a small weight loss when I get back and some change too. Im not really sure how much to take if I'm honest as never been before. I do have £100 set aside for Electric & gas so can use that if worse come to worse and make it up next month :). Nothing else to report really.

Hope you all have a fab Wednesday

So this weekend was Lovely I managed a NSD on Saturday, today I managed to get all the shopping on budget leaving myself £25 still in the shopping kitty! I did a monthly shop- separating all meats into freezer, its packed should last us the month- meals planned. Spent £75 in all and OH will prob do some shopping mid week. Trying to get a little more organised and stay in budget on things. I even found time to make some overnight oats. Have joined the debt free community posts to get some motivation...I love seeing there posts.

failed on the NSD on two counts- 1 I brought a trolly to tow all the shopping, was a good investment saved my arms at least. Second count brought some bits OH had asked for- razors, pillow cases etc- was taken out of shopping budget :) he'll make it up later.

nothing much else happened this weekend...shopping, cleaning and watching a bit of football... Will aim for a NSD tomorrow, excluding SW meeting to pay for (budgeted) :) Have updated my bullet journey to track my nsd...earned £9.91 interest which was a good start to the month, added to house deposit fund :)

That's all there is really... night all, have a fantastic week x

    Afternoon guys,

I received another £4.84 interest so this has been added to the deposit fund. Managed to bring my lunch into work:j on target for my first NSD of July *fingers crossed* YNAB looks ok, I am determined to try to be within budget this month and hopefully ride out the next 6 in the same way.

Waiting on my insurance renewal- praying its below the £410 I have budgeted, will also check on comparison sights for the best deal.

OH and I were chatting yesterday, apparently we need a new Washing machine (ours sounds like a tank) but agreed we will just try to wait until it dies- note to self try to put it on when OH isnt home, the noise seems to prompt his desire to replace it;)- (we go halves and I haven't budgeted for it yet). Oh and apparently we need a new dishwasher and fridge freezer:( both over 12 years old and on their last legs- again trying to prolong this. Will make some space in the budget for them next month. Luckily was able to persuade him that this isn't possible in July as its an expensive month.

Thinking it maybe time to do a car booty. Maybe the 14th, before we go away- would be good to declutter and get some extra cash in:D. some plus things- SW seems to be good for my pocket- less wine has been brought as I don't have enough syns- same for take out- joining has been a very good on the old purse strings:rotfl:

Right best get back to work..enjoy the sunshine x

    :wave:Afternoon Guys

So today, I received £3 bank reward and £2.77 form quidco- so £5.77 added to deposit fund. Also lost 7lb at SW so am very smiley today!:D:D

OH gave me £50 for the bits I brought him, and to cover the cost of bbq for caravan...found one on Argos for £27 with tools and cover so Ill get that tomorrow. My cleared cc has £3.47 Credit left over from rewards, ill use that and pay off the balance straight away to ensure no interest...£3.50 off is a saving after all...the rest of the funds I will save towards vacay funds.:)

Am out with the girls from work tonight to cheer on the England squad:j:j Budget £10 (Syns spare 8) ;) I will not overspend *new mantra* Brought lunch into work, feeling in control...tiny wins but it feels good....enjoy the sun all! Shelbi x
