Anyone come across Redondo?

Redondo came up in my google search for a Henry vaccum cleaner. The price is good but I've never heard of the company before and I can't find anything about them on the web.

Has anyone used them before? Any good?

Funny. I just discovered their website too when trying to find a bargain on a vacuum cleaner. Seem to selling things about 25% cheaper in a sale that apparently ends today. Site seems legit but social network links don't work, no mention of them on internet and no answer or message when you phone them. This seems really dodgy. Id avoid until you are sure they are legit

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I tried emailing via the contact form on the site, but not had any response or acknowledgement despite stating "We really are exceptionally quick at answering email" and "we aim to answer all email enquiries within 1 hour".

The fact you can't find anything about them on the web is a bit of a giveaway, I suspect. There are no names of individuals given, nothing at Companies House for the address shown or the name Redondo Kitchen (and you'd expect them to be a limited company if they are trading on the scale they appear to claim - if so, that info must be disclosed on the website).

    Leave well alone.

totally agree. i looked up the registered address on the internet and there about 50 companies registered to that address which looks like its some kind of farmhouse!!! I have reported this to the police! i can't help feeling they may have already scammed a lot of people looking for a christmas bargain! What would be the best way of getting the word out there.....

Perhaps posting your concerns on Facebook or Twitter, although obviously be careful how you phrase it. Could legitimately be the registered office for loads of companies if, say, it is an accountant or company secretary living at that address.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    Oh bloody hell,
I think I've just been had.
    Ordered yesterday....
I'll let you know if I ever receive my goods, if not I'll just go and hang my head in shame in the corner.
No reply to my emails and phone goes to person unavailable after only one ring.
    Sucker-moi.

  • Why did this thread not come up when I was googling for reviews?! Not a thing, good or bad. However I have now found a tweet with a link to trip adviser saying they were a scam and lots of people list money. Couldn't find this either until I started looking for their fb and twitter after I'd paid :( called trading standards, they are looking into it and have asked me to report it to action fraud and Google as that's where I found then on Google shopping. Absolutely gutted, right on top of Christmas and my daughters birthday next week :(

Oh Mummlou, I know exactly how you feel!
It didn't come up when I was looking either.
I too am pretty gutted, embarrassed and suitably chastened. It just about finished off what has been an all, round rubbish week for me.
Bad chest infection, electric blanket went on fire and the Redondo scam.
I too have reported it to Action Fraud( too ages and ages on the phone to do) and also have cancelled the credit card, we are now on the lookout incase we have been identity theft victims as well.

  • Yes, i've just been scammed by them too.
    Definitely Avoid!!
  • I have contacted the payment platform this website (redondo.co.uk) is using, so they hopefully could stop this scam
