It is the Ps4 or the TV that has the problem?

181 Posts

OK so today my other half and I bought a PS4 Slim.
However when connecting to the TV and turning it all on there was sound but no picture. I turned everything off, checked all connections and turned everything back on. Now there is no sound and no picture. I tried the safe mode thing with no luck but may have been doing it wrong.
The TV is probably nearly 10 years old. It is a 32 inch Bush TV, cost £800 when I got it. It has just the one HDMI port.
I'm hoping it's the TV that is the problem and a new TV (not £800 this time) will solve it.
