You can shop online at Makro without a trade card and IMHO they are no cheaper than supermarkets anymore once you add on VAT and take into account how many of each thing you have to get.

Makro are now part of Bookers so its a Bookers card you need, if you check on the makro website, it re routes you to Bookers.

But if you want a trade card it says you will need to take two proofs of business to your local branch so that they can discuss your individual requirements with you and set up your account.

I used to shop in Bookers when I ran a pub but I certainly wouldnt shop there anymore as they are just no cheaper.

I don't know for Makro, but for Costco you can join as long as you currently work or are retired from certain professions. http://warehouses.costco.co.uk/membership/#lightbox-indiv

Costco works out a little cheaper than supermarkets for branded things and Costco own is better quality than supermarket own brands, but if you want really cheap stuff then Aldi or Lidl own brands will be cheaper.

You can also join Costco if you know a current Costco member.
