Dismissed and not paid! Help!

Recently I was dismissed from a company (not gross dismissal) and left on good terms. I worked one week, got 'that' phone call and was then obviously put on the notice period. I was expecting pay for both the week and notice period. Roll on month end, no payslip. Nothing in my bank account.
Spoke to accounts who said they only knew I was let off but not the week I did or the extra week of notice period. Now, I'm really trying my hardest to keep good faith here as I know the company is just horrifically inefficient. But if it's more than just that (I hope not) where do I stand? If I need to roll up my sleeves, how would I go about it. I've got a copy of my contract. And I've also already put in one call to the accounts, and emailed a senior manager with a list of the dates.
When I was dismissed, this was done over the phone so there isn't much of a paper trail at all.
To be honest, it's bad enough that the company screwed up my pay, but what if I missed bill payments because of this as well? Breach of contract plus something else. Damages?

Did you clock in or anything like that which would generate some sort of record that you were in?0

No, unfortunately there was no system like that. From a bureaucratic point of view, the company was a shambles.0

Money claim online in all seriousness.
Though could be a month behind. Due to cut off dates so be wary. I say this as overtime working in mid Oct appears not payable apparently end of Nov. Was a 5 week after starting wait to be paid company as well and money deducted for pension straight away so can't see how an employer will get away with it soon. Not paying people their dues when the gov wants a slice to get processing pensions.
We had people wait for pay day past then dropped the company in it with resignations 10 minutes before the start of their shift very next day. That seems to be the way to do it these days. Yep more's the pity Employers probably aren't that logical minded just yet.0
