Good luck, op, for what it's worth.
I don't thinks that's true - this forum is full of whingers who haven't bothered to read their meters, check their bills or ask for one when they haven't seen one and then expect everyone else to sympathise, pat them on the head and tell them that they don't really have to pay anything and actually they should be entitled to compensation for the stress of doing sodall.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I think that the CO-Operative have been generous with there decision, and I'm unsure that there is anything more that they can do. You never contacted them, and given that fixed term contracts generally have specific terms - such as exit fees or certain other requirements (duel fuel, direct debit only - for instance) and would have required you to agree a contract, it is not right for the Co-Operative to bill you at any other unit price, other than standard tariff, since they didn't have your consent.
Good Luck with the Ombudsman, but I've seen similar cases were the adjudicator has called and asked for either £30 or £50 compensation from us, so I think £100 is fair and reasonable based on the information you've shared with us today.
I don't work for the CO-Operative nor have any connection to them - so perhaps there is more too this, than I first see.Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!0 -
OK I'll be nice.
Do you have evidence of you contacting them every month to try and work this out? If so maybe complaign more.
You also could have asked to be on a better tarrif from the start. So no complaint there as you could have moved earlier.
Do they even sign up to the 12 month back billing volenttary agreement. I thought it was just the big six. Even so it's only applicable if they AND you have not done anything. See point one.0
