Minimum amount of pay slips needed for a loan?

I have just started a job and would like get a loan to buy a car, ideally a sainsburys 3% APR loan, does anyone know how long a lender on average requires you to have worked before they would consider you for a loan?

Do I need to show 3 months of pay slips? 6 months? Or there are some lenders where I would just need 1 or even 0?

Regards,

Chris

The minimum number is none. But you probably don't want to go there.

But most lenders will want you to be in the same role for 6 months or more.

Each lender will most likely be different plus each lender may well have different criteria and ask for a different number of payslips from me and you. Do you really want to take on a big commintment when you have only just started a job ?

I think you'll find time in current job will have an impact on you being able to get the best deals. Yes some places are fine with none or one, but your looking at 2-3 digit interest rates inho

Yes. I just returned to the UK, I had a car whilst living abroad and have sold this to a friend but they are paying me back in monthly instalments. So I have the future income to purchase a car even without a job here. I just don't have it now as one lump sum.

Only if they pay you back...

In that case you're almost certainly not going to get 3% with Sainsburys.
