Urgent redundancy question

i work for company under two seperate contracts. Can i have redundancy for one role, if I Am contracted to work 4 shifts and now going to zero hours ?
my company says i cant take redunancy for night shifts unless i am made redunant in day shifts too

    Redundancy is when a job role is no longer required. If you have 2 totally independant contracts, one for the night job and another for the day, and night shifts are no longer required ie redundant, I can't see why the day job contract should also be terminated.

    How can you be going to zero hours and the job still be redundant? It's either needed or not needed.
