Asking because it strikes me that a lot of assumptions that have been made, on both sides of the Brexit debate, that the US economy will behave in an expectable way and therefore that the direction of the currency and the knock-on effects, while not fully predictable, can be reasonably anticipated (pound devalues to a certain extent, levels off, and whether this is a good or bad thing depends on the extent to which we are able to rebalance our economy and the extent to which this is offset by individual jobs or sectors adversely affected by Brexit).
Surely a Trump win changes that equation somewhat?
