Odd because I'm in a similar position as a school secretary, I work 4 days with a Thursday off and the other school secretary works 4 days with a Friday off. We are on the same grade and get paid the same including pension contributions but the same as your wife's school a few weeks of the year I'll have 2 days off a week because of Insets and the other secretary only gets the 1 day off, yet out pay stays the same! I think she did query it and basically got told 'tough' if that is the case your wife would be better having a different day off? If the pay stays the same and you gain a few extra days, can she change days?
