credit file conundrum

I've just looked at my credit file on Equifax having buried my head in the sand with this for about 3 years-a new lease of life and all that, I chose Equifax as the OR examiner told me that's the one they use, and in fact can see a search was conducted the day before my meeting, some questions arise
1. I have an M+S credit card in default, can't see it anywhere on the file, obviously included in the questionnaire but how could this be?
2. can't see any ref to bankruptcy or the 1 CCJ I got (or I think I did-see above re head, sand etc) - am I looking in the wrong place
3. no ref to my bank accounts, I got a strong impression the OR knew about my accounts when we met, he said he had no interest in them BEFORE we went into the questionnaire and I handed over the bumph-how could he have known
baffled

Some accounts only report to one CRA. The judgement should be showing in the relevant section along with the bankruptcy marker, may take time to be updated. Was your CCJ some time ago? 6 years perhaps?
Which service are you using, Equifax directly?
Perhaps the OR's office had already looked at some data fore the questionnaire?0 -
no the CCJ was about 3 months ago
Yes Equifax
Don't know what data they could have looked at?!0 -
If you provided bank details in correspondence, they may have obtained directly.0
-
nope, nothing at all-only correspondence was me getting the pack from them and turning up on the day-very weird, I mean how wasn't he to know I didn't have a few grand in my bank?
sorry a bit trivial, kind of writing as I think0 -
HMRC could have supplied information from previous dealings? They have pretty impressive powers of investigation for a government department!0

Honestly, I don't know. Best guess is that they used more than Equifax data and it showed running balances on Experian, each month shows a balance. They could simply write to that bank by glancing it as an institution you bank with from Experian, that's my best guess.0

yes that's not a bad point-
separately my name was spelt wrong on the bankruptcy order, its an obvious mistake that everyone makes, people just assume there is a letter where there isn't even if they have the correct spelling right in front of them! I digress, could this be why the credit file isn't showing it, and if so should one notify, or just leave it-also bankruptcy order has new address and Equifax still has an old one0 -
ok so Experian does show bank accounts, even if no credit arrangements therein?0
-
Yes - here is an extract, all details have been removed but you get the idea...
