Adding spouse onto mortgage..how?

Hi
My husband and I have lived in the house since it was built 5 years ago. However, at the time i couldn't get a mortgage due to being out of work.
I have been full time employed since and good credit and of course my husband and I would like me to be on it.
What is the procedure? Our mortgage is also up for renewal this month.
Thanks in advance

A new mortgage from a new lender plus a transfer of equity or have you added to existing mortgage and a transfer of equity.

Mmmm, something a bit fishy here. You being out of work correctly means your income would not have been considered for mortgage affordability, but should have had no bearing on whether or not you were named on the mortgage from the get go. There are plenty of non working spouses with joint ownership of a property.0
