Child maintenance included on mortgage application

We're about to apply for a mortgage with nationwide and are using CSA payments towards our income. I've been receiving this satisfactorily for the last year apart from 2 weeks in October when my ex partner was on paternity leave therefore his income was too low for the CSA to take any payment. Will this effect the maintenance being used in the application? Nationwide have asked to see 6 months worth of bank statements to price payment.
Would appreciate any advice!

Nationwide are picky on this sort of thing I am afraid. Speak to your adviser BEFORE you to the application

Nationwide INSISTS on six months payments of the same amount.

You'll need to find a different lender.

  • When I applied in August they wanted 6 months evidence of payments but only 3 months at the current rate. My ex increased his contributions in May to help me get my remortgage as he didn't want his son to be uprooted from our home. I just saved the extra to give to him when he's 18.

Sorry, it's changed since our last case;-
Note: We will only accept payments that have been received satisfactorily for at least three months (the lowest figure received in the last three months will be used for affordability). A written private agreement will need to include, the amount paid each month, to whom the payments are made, the name of the child/children the agreement relates to, and the period the maintenance will be paid for.
