Leaving job Jsa?

If somebody leaves their job voluntarily can they get income based Jsa?

How does the job centre know if you left by your own choice or were made redundant?

they write to your last employer, if you are made redundant you can get contributions based jsa for 6 months.

I think the job centre will check with your previous employer to find out why you left.

If I remember rightly I gave the DWP a copy of my redundancy notice from my employer. They didn't just take my word for it.

So what if somebody does leave for their own reasons? Can you not get jsa at all?

What if somebody has to leave for health reasons? If it's just that job that causes health problems and you give notice to leave, can you get income based jsa (if not paid any NI contributions) while you look for another job?

No definitely not, you wont get it if you walk out.

You can apply. You are likely to be sanctioned.

Do you have any independent evidence that your job is affecting your health?
