Evening all.
We have a mortgage with Halifax and are a year into it.
We want to make an 8k overpayment but want to know how easy it would be in the future, to recover those funds back to us if we wanted to use it to either make home improvements or ideally to buy land.
We CANNOT get Halifax to understand what it is we're asking and CANNOT manage to speak to anyone English - we simply cannot understand each other.

Most lenders don't offer a borrowback facility.
If you're wanting to overpay then over pay and accept that it's taken off the balance.
If you don't want to not have that money then don't overpay and save it instead.0 -
