Has anyone seen any cheap lap or melamine trays on their travels for eating dinner on in front of the TV? I know we shouldn't do it, but a bit of informality some times is good for the soul.

TK Maxx usually has some of these in - and usually also has the lap trays with the attached bean bags to steady them.2009 winnings: private box at the ballet, a cooking lesson with Jean Christophe Novelli, a case of wine, £25 itunes downloads, a candle, Football Manager PC game, a lipstick, £2500

Agreed TK Maxx have a great supply. Also you can check out Matalan if you have one near and Poundstretcher - they seem to have really cheap home things.
I agree it is comforting to eat on sofa - less formal than the dining room.:j :j0 -
Do you have a local freecycle? If so why not ask on there - you might get some for nothing! Also charity shops? I mention these because I have seen new or as new ones advertised on my local freecycle group, and also seen them in the Oxfam shop.0
