Can I get JSA next year?

Hi,
I resigned from my fulltime job June 2015 because we moved along way from work, as I was out of work I was able to get JSA in Feb of this year, I managed to get the full 6 months, so that was great. I then got a Part time Job that I left a few weeks ago for various reasons, if I'm unable to get a job, will I be able to get JSA in 2016, six moths after leaving the part time one?
Many thanks,
Steve

For contribution based JSA you need to have paid sufficient NI contributions in the two years prior to the claiming year. So I doubt you'd have paid enough.0

Thanks.I paid loads of NI up to April 2015, I'll check to see how much I paid between April until I left my full time job in June, I didn't pay NI on my part time work because it was only part time and low wage. Do you know how much NI I need to pay to get JSA next year? Can I top up my NI so that I do get JSA, it might be worth it.
Many thanks for the help

Three months employment will not be sufficient.
You can top up your NI to go towards your pension, but not for benefit purposes.0 -

Untrue.
The OP successfully claimed JSA for 6 months this year [based on those 2 years' NICs].
The problem, however, is that the 6 months' worth of contribution-based JSA has now run out.
Income-based JSA - or Universal Credit - would be the only potential benefit available to apply for. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
Thanks, If I'm not able to get work I'll apply, I won't get Income based because I have savings and I don't think I'll get Universal Credit, think you need to be single.
When I was getting JSA earlier in the year the day say something about if I wanted to start my own business there was something else I could claim even if I earned a little money, I'll have to see what that was, maybe I can get that?0
