People just have to adjust their comping around the forum which is not perfect and never will be, instead of expecting the forum to fit their chosen comping style. I started out as an end dater, then realised it was a flawed system, that meant I missed out on a lot of comps that either ended early or were wrongly dated.

Now If I see an RC that might have a daily tweet I bookmark in a folder called dailies within my browser. if I miss one now and again it's not something I worry about, as RC's are already multiple entry anyhow.

That's exactly what I've started doing mclarkie.

I've been bookmarking the rc's & gleams for a couple of years no matter where I've been comping from. Just a heads up make two lists one for RC's & the other for Gleams because on the day's the RC's don't work you don't have to trawl through all your bookmarks to find the gleams that do work

I don't think I am going to get time to do the rc/gleam daily's list like planned either.. its easy when daily is in the title but otherwise i think i will find it too time consuming after looking into it the past few days, esp when my girls are back at school. It is a shame though

    That''s OK :)

I think I am definately going to change the way I comp, when I started in about 2008 I got caught up and found it much better esp at the end of the month... it's just catching up again! I may give dailies a break so I can concentrate on everything else then start up again once I am caught up :) theres a hell of a lot more dailies than there used to be x
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I have the mag dailies bookmarked, and the only time I ever referred to the list on here was if a competition disappeared unexpectedly, so I would check if it was marked as suspended- but that's not often...

Sometimes I end date (during busy life spells), other times I work ahead, but don't worry if I miss something.

Everyone finds what works for them.

There are all sorts of advantages to being up to date and one of them is it takes less time than trying to enter by end date.

Staying up to date doesn't have to be always entering them as they are added but just keeping up as they are posted - in Chrome I have a folder that from the comp index page I just click and drag a thread title into so it can be looked at later if I don't have time to enter there and then - never have loads in the folder and it's easy to prioritise by date if needed.

I've just posted a Mag Daily on the main board, but the Mag Daily thread seems to have disappeared?

    Anyone know where it is?

I was just going to ask the same question as I was updating the daily thread & the magdaily/clicktowin link is showing as invalid
