Magazine Dailies Thread | Volunteer needed

If anyone would like to volunteer to take over the Magazine Dailies thread, please let me know here.

If there's no-one volunteering to take over the thread by Jan 5th I definitely can't update after this date.


If anyone has any complaints about the thread not being updated past this date please direct your grievance at the anonymous comper who was extremely petty and reported a certain post. I hope you feel good about yourself.

Never mind, if no one wants to do it then like the weekly thread perhaps competitions could still be added on the end without the index being updated, with maybe a new thread started or the existing one edited so the first posts just contained the bit of info on there now as well as links to the C2W and magazine sites but not direct to any particular competition?

As much as I appreciate people helping out with these threads, I just don't think they are worth the additional agro and stress to run them. the Advent thread being the exception, and thanks to toniq for this years excellently run thread.

I only ever use the competition board, I spot a daily or mag daily then bookmark it did the same with many of the advents too, simples.

As long as everything is posted on the main comps board and clearly labelled mag daily in the title, then they should not be missed.

Think the end daters would miss out & the comps that are not listed with daily in the title. This is a problem with the widgets at the mo, today there was a comp posted for £75 argos voucher. It is a Gleam with daily entry but neither were put in the title.

I posted a reply saying gleam & daily but this does not show up on the main board & the title remains without both. The only solution to the widgets is to have a daily thread & add all of them including ones that don't say what they are in the title.

The only other way that I can think of would be to PM Glad to change the titles of comps to add what they are & daily but that's giving Glad a lot more work to do.

I don't think I am going to get time to do the rc/gleam daily's list like planned either.. its easy when daily is in the title but otherwise i think i will find it too time consuming after looking into it the past few days, esp when my girls are back at school. It is a shame though

People just have to adjust their comping around the forum which is not perfect and never will be, instead of expecting the forum to fit their chosen comping style. I started out as an end dater, then realised it was a flawed system, that meant I missed out on a lot of comps that either ended early or were wrongly dated.

Now If I see an RC that might have a daily tweet I bookmark in a folder called dailies within my browser. if I miss one now and again it's not something I worry about, as RC's are already multiple entry anyhow.
