Thought this might interest some of you. This guy has published a free online cookbook with £18.00 per week meal plans and wants to share it with as many people as possible.

On the scale of those Eat Well for Less type programmes, this is quite bargainous, but if you compare it to the average OSer budget it is quite hefty! However the ideas are good. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

I think this is an interesting point. Often the budget friendly recipes aimed at feeding families don't scale down well, and I think you're right many of these might not scale up economically. There is definitely some overlap--i.e. the dirty rice recipe and the soups, but I think there probably are differences in economical cooking for one or two vs. for a family. There are definitely ways around it, but I can see where there might be a need for different plans based on how man you're cooking for.0 -
I had a read but will stick to my own My Misers Cookbook which I have collected recipes from all over the place including here over the past few years

I have a similar Misers cookbook Jackie. All my favourite OS meals
Tried a new one for breakfast this morning Banana and peanut butter Quesidillas which were rather scrummy and the family want them again:
4 tortillas 32p (½ a pack) from Aldi
quarter of a jar of peanut butter (Iceland and Farmfoods have Sunpat at £1.50 for a 454g jar) so about 30p's worth, A couple of bananas 68p kg I used 2 and the pack had 8 bananas = 17p for two
Total cost for four 79p
Spread half of a tortilla with peanut butter and sliced bananas fold in half and dry fry on both sides, cut into three and enjoy!
I am sometimes naughty and add some chocolate nibs, that bumps the price up to an extra 15p to 94p, but it is worth itBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
