Hi
I've had my AIP / DIP from halifax about 3 weeks now, via my broker i've put in full application. He said its now in processing, and with the underwriters.
Does anyone know the timescale for the underwriters at present, i'm so anxious about this - didn't think i would be. argh!

Unfortunately, the timeframe can vary case by case. It all depends on how complex your case is..Good luck with it all

Me timescale below may help but with NatWest:
Underwriters looked at first thing Monday and asked for more payslips and credit card balances. Sent straight away. They looked at yesterday afternoon and they approved this morning. Quick so far.
We sent the application last Thursday.
Hope you get a quick answer. The waiting killed us haha.0 -
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated - its amazing that when you find a place that could be home how slow time goes waiting on decisions. Fingers crossed it won't be too long.

What is in the case which has required underwriter intervention?
Halifax system is mostly automated and UW is only needed for issues such as unusual income or adverse credit.I am a mortgage broker. my only issue is that I'm not on the electoral register. I have submitted all my forms to the electoral office a few weeks back. In my naivety i didn't realise it was an issue. Im hoping thats all the case. I've no adverse credit but I've also not taken out any credit in years.0

You can't submit a Halifax application without paying the valuation fee as a minimum.ShivasPlace wrote: »I assume the valuation hasn't been done or payment taken?I am a mortgage broker.
