I've always wanted to do this ... "Booze Crooze"!.
Booked tickets a few years ago and the car broke down on the way so we missed the boat (literally).
Have fun(Smuggle your own booze on, not too cheap on the boat, even at the duty free I hear ... you can only drink your own booze in the cabin but I'm sure you can work out a way around that, check for booze handbag competitions!
)

Thanks for the tips! That's a shame you missed out. Hopefully you can try again soon, seems like good fun. I'm sure we'll manage to sort a sneaky wee booze set up.
Seems ridiculously expensive to eat and drink on the boat and we're both vegan so will take a good haul of snacks anyway :beer:0 -
lovely, well done :T:Tplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0

If DFDS are anything like P&O they will search your bags and confiscate and alcohol they find - you can then collect it when you are getting off the ferry.
Parking your car at the Newcastle docks is also expensive (£24 for the duration)

DFDS Amsterdam Mini Cruise Example:
Day 1 - Arrive in car park at 3pm
Day 2 - In Amsterdam
Day 3 - Leave car park at 11am
Parking cost - £24 (44 hours)0 -

Thanks for the heads up :beer: WE don't drive, so won't be using the car park. Have spoken to a few people who have been on this cruise and you can definitely take booze and food on-board (unless that's changed).0 -
Well doneLiz xx0
