NatWest loan interest refund

Hi there

So overnight I've had a little over £500 credited to my NatWest current account, with the heading of 'Loan Interest Rfnd'.

I've had the current account for about 12 years, and the loan account for about 4. The loan is due to finish in January next year.

Advice needed - I haven't spoke to NatWest about this, but any ideas why I got the refund? All I can find online is something about student accounts getting refunds for overdraft fees but this is just a regular current account, I've never had a student account.

If anyone can shed any light on this, it would be much appreciated!

Luke

  • Most likely the annual statements issue.

I thought this, but I have not been contacted about it, this just randomly appeared in the account this morning.
  • I received around the same amount this morning too, phoned them to shed some light on it but they were unable to tell me what it's about and to keep it in my account for the next week in case it's an error and recalled....
