Student Loan - Asking for CCA????

Hi,
I recently began repaying my student loan (initially taken out in 1996). The company tracked me down and without thinking I offered to repay the debt at £30 p/m (overall debt was £1800).
Since then I have been written to by Thames Credit regarding a Barclaycard. I then discovered this forum and all the helpful comments within - this DCA has since gone over the 12+2 days in my request for the CCA.
Going back to the Student Loan debt, if I asked for a copy of the CCA and they couldn't supply it - am I within my rights to cease repayment until they do? Has anyone got any experience with Student Loans Co? They are probably for more organised than these other DCAs and since the original debt was taken out with them - would they be more likely in supplying the CCA?

SLC cant supply you with a CCA as you would never had signed one - Student loans dont come under these agreements.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
