Ohh a new meetup, lovely! I used to arrange meetups in London, they are great fun! I will try to make it as it would be a nice outing with DH.

Edited to say, we would very much love to come to the meet, as we need to travel to one of the Medway Towns as we need to deal with a savings account from Kent Reliance, normally we go to Gravesend but as Faversham has a branch we can catch two birds with one stone! Please keep me updated! Thank you.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Is it definitely happening? How will I recognise you? When we used to do meetups in London we used to sport "the OS badge" a safety pin visibly pinned on our clothes!

My OS friend is also interested, so it might be 3 of us, or maybe even 4 if we get another friend on board!

Yes, definitely going ahead, I've PM'd a couple of others who contacted me. I'll call the cafe tomorrow and see if I can book a table, and put on here how to recognise us.

  • Caterina I shall be there, and we have met several times (apart from our trip to Blackpool all those years ago for the northern MSE weekend :), whizzing up the M6 singing Nessum Dorma with Ruth,)

I do hope you can make it as it really is a lovely place and you can buy all sorts of stuff in the shop. Its got a deli to die for, with some gorgeous cheeses :)

The coffee shop is pretty good as well .
Carolbee looking forward to seeing you and hopefully NRA Bev if she can make it ,we had such a great chinwag a few weeks ago didn't we

Ah well JackieO of course I remember you, look forward very much to see you there! It sounds like a lovely place, just as well I am not doing a grocery challenge in December (going to Italy for 3 weeks so no point in trying), or it would take a big hit!

Edited to say that two or three more OSers might come along, people that JackieO has met before at the London meets. Will update as I hear more from them.

Just to let you know, I have booked a table for 2pm on 7 December at Macknade.

I've booked for 8, but hopefully would be able to add more chairs if more folk turn up.

Looking forward to seeing whoever can come along.
