if the husband was born after 6th October 1945 it will only be 50% that can be inherited.

As husband died before April 2016, she should still be able to inherit additional pension.0 -

So at best she would only get a share of his additional state pension.
It would be a good idea for the OP to check her own national insurance record and entitlement to state pension, especially as she is planning to draw a work pension which she expects to stop her income related benefits. These benefits may well include national insurance credits.0
