I think the old dyes were a bit hit and miss but I have never had an issue. I do always put a short cycle on afterwards and then do a dark wash to be absolutely safe though. I get what you mean about cheap tops too, I generally only buy fair-trade so I try to make them go that bit further but even with cheap ones I have been given its worked - as long as the stretch hasn't gone. Obviously was only a thought as I we have to work with what those around us feel comfortable with...my jeans are like Dr Who with the amount of regeneration they go through!Happiness is wanting what you have...0

Well that was an absolutely fabulous weekend! :T Aside from a little bit of travel hassle for MrEH on the way up (some inconsiderate trees having a kip meant no trains from Norwich to Cromer so the railway company had to put him and rather a lot of others into cabs. Still, I had a rather nice wander around Cromer and watched the more gorgeous sunset while I was waiting so all good. the accommodation we'd booked was fab - just beautifully fitted out and we've already said we'll go back there next year, we think.
Ace day on Saturday - train through to Norwich (they were running again!) and nice bit of exploring around the City while MrEH did his "working" bit at the beer festival (doing some training of new bar managers) then I joined him at the festival from just after 2pm. Thoroughly nice time sampling some very tasty beers and chatting with lots of people, and even managed a bit of a catch up late on with one of my very dearest friends who came along specially in spite of not being able to drink as he was driving! Lovely lad he is - as always too little time but we're hoping to try to get our heads together to sort out something else before too long. Sunday we walked out along the coast until we reached the next village along where we found a cafe and had lunch, before walking back. Bit more wandering around once we got back to Cromer and by the time we got back to the accommodation I'd clocked up an impressive 22,000 steps!
We were expecting the weekend to be a bit spendy but actually it wasn't really too bad. We had takeaway fish & chips on Friday night (had to as we were by the seaside - it's the law isn't it!) Saturday we had breakfast at a cafe in Cromer before we got the train and then ate at the beer festival later but a friend helpfully gave us freebie vouchers for our lunch so there IS such a thing as a free lunch!Sunday was the meal at the cafe for lunch which was about £25 all told, and we bought food from the supermarket for the evening and yesterday we went back to the same cafe as Saturday morning for breakfast once we'd given the keys back on the accommodation. Aside from the supermarket spend for Sunday we paid cash for everything so not much on the card. I spent about £40 I think but that included beers at the festival. The trains and accommodation were already paid for, of course. The car stayed parked up all weekend so there was only the diesel for getting up there and back, too! :T
Tomorrow night will have some spending involved as we're off to the O2 with a friend to see the Kaiser Chiefs - Hays and I have seen them before and they're brilliant so looking forward to that! :T Just planning a meal at Nando's beforehand I think.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Got bored waiting for OnePoll to pay out so I cashed out OpinionOutpost to keep the momentum going. £9.25 winging its way to my bank account as we speak.
*edit* that was quick - landed, transferred to the card, and signature updated...
*edit again* As though summoned, the OnePoll money has been paid! Not showing as an available balance yet though.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Kaiser Chiefs! Wow! Would love to see them! Lucky you, hope its fab!
Your weekend away sounds amazing too, if I had to write my perfect weekend trip it would pretty much be that...nice place to stay, good food, fine beer, friends and strolls along the seaHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -
Hey Angel - nice to see you! Yep it's been a pretty good week, all told!
Kaisers were BRILLIANT - and Ricky Wilson did the dive through the crowd to the mini stage for a couple of songs that he did last time we saw them - only this time we were ready so when he dashed past us (right past us, my friend patted him on the shoulder!) we followed him and got straight to the front before most others had realised what was happening. A little knowledge can indeed be a very useful thing!
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves anyway!
£40 landed in my PayPal account properly overnight so I have transferred that to the card and updated my signature. Once the "minimum payment" DD goes out later in the month that'll see me only £14 off going sub £1k which is GREAT progress inside my first three months! :T
Got the kitchen people coming round again tomorrow to do a re-measure as we've changed the plans about a bit. I was hoping to get up to Scampton to see the Reds training but as the weather looks appalling it's not a problem to stay at home instead!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

:TEH, that sounds awesome! Brilliant that you remembered the trick...bet you were very pleased with yourselves! :T
Really good going on the CC busting, thats an awesome amount to have cleared in 3 months and still be enjoying life
Hope the kitchen appointment goes well, are you having it done by a company? Swooooning at the idea of a new kitchen, can't wait to sort mine at some point soon after income improves.Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -
The kitchen is being done by the same builder chap who did our bathroom last year. We'll be ordering some stuff ourselves too so there's great potential for a bit of cashback here and there. The way we worked things with the bathroom was that I effectively project managed the job - which was quite stressful but did actually work. The kitchen needs to be a little bit faster moving though so I need to drive things forward a bit more.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That sounds great! I am slowly refurbing my house so always interested to hear how people are doing it. I wish there was cash back for IKEA as I will be buying a few things from there. Nice you found someone who's work you like and well done for successfully project managing the bathroomHappiness is wanting what you have...0
