Just after some advise really. Our current mortgage is up for renewal a with natwest but the best deal they can give me is not very competitive
I've used an online tools and Leeds building society are coming back with a rate which would Lower our payments from £545 per month to £400.
However many moons ago we tried to get our first ever mortgage with Yorkshire building society and they were extremely stringent with their criteria, long story short they didn't offer mortgages to first time buyers who has agreed overdraft facilities . Well 5 years later we still have agreed overdrafts! Are Leeds very finickity with their lending criteria? I cannot be bothered with the app,I cation process if so!
Details are combined income £53k , one dependant, combined committed expenditure £360
House value £195k
Outstanding mortgage £130k
I know lenders can be very strict with their very best rates so just wondered if we stand a chance! TIA

Simply having an overdraft facility wouldn't be a problem, especially if you aren't regularly using it. If you can't be bothered and want to be sure before wasting time and/or money then just use a broker.I am a Mortgage Broker.

I would also suggest using a broker in this instance, as they will be able to guide you correctly knowing most lenders out there and their criteria's...:jFinally going to be a homeowner:T0
