As your starting amount calculated under old rules is higher than your starting amount under new rules, there is no point in buying pre 2016 years.
This is because you had already qualified for a full BSP (£119.30) under old rules as you had at least 30 qualifying years.
You can make voluntary contributions for the current year and then for four more years.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did I read somewhere that you have to make the payment before the end of the financial year, not before your birthday? ie, birthday/State pension age is September, but payment will have to have been made before the previous April.0
