Hope all is ok with you and yours GP?

Thanks for the reminder on the library books, I checked online and all 11 of mine were due that day so I nipped round on the way to school. Its the unnecessary spending that makes me annoyed with myself so much appreciated.

    Good Morning :hello:

We've packed a picnic, there is petrol in the car, we've got a map and fair weather..... we're off! Following a trail around our fair county, for a *free* bit of fun. Should we be doing DIY? Most definitely. But the chance to get out in glorious weather, when we're not full of cold or asleep on our feet, was too good to pass up.

    Laters.

Enjoy your picnic and getting out in to the big world. Definitely worth making the most of the good weather, DIY can wait for rainy dull days. Have a lovely weekend

    Good Morning :hello:

Ah, what a grand day out we had yesterday :D And I only spent 35p on a post card to send to a friend who likes to hear all about our mini-adventurising :D

Everything that was marvellous about the day was *free*. The company :D (but I am biased :D), the weather (scorchio), the route - glorious countryside, featuring places we'd not been before and places we seldom go to - even though we live here! (ain't that the way? :o). We spotted the first Swallows of the season :j I think that we saw about 7 or 8 in total - but I can't tell you the delight at spotting the first one :D:D:D All alone, sitting on a telegraph wire, in bright sunshine - wonderful!

We took a pack-up lunch which we enjoyed at a wonderful spot. It was a bit too windy to sit out at the picnic tables (on top of a mountain ), but we sat in the car and soaked up the peace and quiet and vistas all the same.

Being a *tourist* where you live usually yields something to see. And in our case, has given us a long list of places/things that we want to go back and explore in the future :D

Today we need to tidy, tidy, tidy. Possibly do a bit of food shopping and if the weather holds, we may pop to the local natty trusty place for an hour or so, just to have precious family time together.

Tea last night was fush, chups and mushy peas - just because the time began to run away with me, and it was easier to pull that out of the freezer and cook it than defrost any l/o pots of curry that are lurking in the freezer. And, to be fair, it is supposed to be my 'easy tea' when we've been out and about, so it all balances out :D Tea tonight should be l/o pots of curry from the freezer. I'll pull them out now to start de-frosting, so that half the battle is won when it comes to sorting tea tonight.

I've hopefully got a date with another mum-chum booked in for Thursday - not too sure what we'll do yet, probably wait to see what the weather does.

Can't think of anything else that is in the MS vein, so I had better shuffle orf.

    Yesterday, I was grateful for these 3 things;

having a car/petrol to access beautiful scenery, making memories as we went along

people who inspire because they achieve the extra-ordinary, everyday....

    that the swallows are returning..........
    :D

Thanks for popping in, reading and cheering us along. Appreciated.

So exciting seeing the first swallows. I've often opened my bedroom curtains to see them sitting on the telephone wire to the house looking in at me. Love the sound they make too - like a squeaky toy.

Sounds like a perfect day out

Lovely times GP. I saw my first swallow swooping over a canal whilst out walking on Friday.
