Finish Dishwasher liquid has changed... help me find something as good?

This dishwasher liquid used to be called Finish Liquid and it was a thick white creamy liquid. I recently bought a new bottle and noticed the packaging was a slightly different colour but thought nothing of it as it was the only product there. It appears it's now called 'Gel' and is a thin blue liquid, with a new nozzle. I thought the new nozzle was good and just turned on the dishwasher. When I removed the dishes I thought the dishwasher hadn't turned on... as the dishes were still tea stained etc. The white plates were fairly clean, apart from some gravy marks. The cups and teapot (yes, I'm a devotee) looked like they did before I turned the dishwasher on.

Finish say what you would expect "you need to use a different wash cycle, it's your machine not the liquid" etc. They don't acknowledge that they have changed the product at all. In my opinion the new packaging should be marked as 'changed' (or they would probably say 'improved formula').

I can't find the old product anywhere, as it's been replaced with the new as it sold out. This used to be a seriously brilliant product, even on v.low temps. I have tried many products over the years and it was the only one to do the job so well.

Waitrose customers are up in arms about it, even telling Waitrose to stop stocking it!

I would like Finish to acknowledge that they've changed the product and see what they intend to do about it.

Can anyone recommend another product that gets tea stains out at low-ish temps??

The same as you, we've found the 'new formula' to be next to useless.

We've always used tablets and find Finish Quantum good and fairy good as well. But then I drink more coffee so don't have tea stain issues
