ParkingEye Morrison's Caernaerfon

Hello all.
£85 PCN for overstaying in a free Morrison's car park in Caernaerfon. PCN has no mention of keeper liability (gap at bottom) and I received the PCN 6 weeks after the 'contravention'.
I've read through the sticky threads and as a result have emailed the no reply Morrisons email to get the PCN cancelled.
Will wait a couple of weeks before appealing for popla code, sounds good to you all?:money:
I have received Parking Charge Notice from Parking Eye after shopping at Morrisons in early October.
Not sure how they can do this if they don't know I didn't pay for parking, didn't physically check car and simply issued by post based on car entering & leaving car park late at night around 10pm.
Photos only show numberplate & headlights, everything else is completely black, you cannot see rest of car at all.0 -
Morrison's called today. The PCN has been cancelled. What fantastic customer service!
Errrrrmmm...nice result but 'fantastic customer service' - I disagree.
Morrisons signed a contract that lasts up to FIVE YEARS at some stores, allowing this monster to sue their customers. No due diligence in checking the contract or giving them an 'out' if PE got aggressive with customers, it seems, despite the fact they should have learnt from the earlier case of ParkingEye v Somerfield.
What M's are doing is cancelling EVERY ParkingEye PCn when customers complain to the Head Office, while trying to lift the carpet higher to hide their awful contract and hope it doesn't get too much press exposure that PE are suing M's customers. And they are. And they will be able to, for years.
:mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What is the email address for Morrisons, what did you say in your email ?

Just complain, attach any receipts and/or Match & More card scan (to prove patronage) and include the PCN number in the email subject line. EASY. Do the complaint even if you have NO receipt, I've seen LOADS cancelled just like that, by asking. Because M's are not happy with PE it seems and can't stop them suing customers, the only thing they CAN do is cancel PCNs before court, if a customer knows to complain.
DO IT NOW! You do not need a template for a little old complaint email, you know what to say!
And - URGENT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE - submit an online appeal NOW to Parking Eye if you have not already, use the one in the NEWBIES thread for BPA firms and attach any receipt or bank statement for shopping there, if you have one. DO NOT call it 'my receipt' of course, it's the driver's receipt.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Can't find shopping receipt, but have credit card statement.
Should I include my name in the complaint & appeal. Read other threads, they say don't give name of driver, so I wouldn't refer to driver at all. Would refer to as proof of purchase by buyer, with no reference to driver.
Is it worth visiting Morrisons and trying to speak to manager ?
Is there a deadline for an appeal, is it 28 days from date of issue.

Yes to the name on both (as keeper). And yes to all your questions, hence why the appeal is urgent. PE allow 28 days from service/delivery of that PCN so about 30 days to appeal, that's all. Just in time if you submit it tonight, with Bank Statement too (cover the name on that and account number and your ongoing balance, for privacy!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? I went to the Morrisons store, first asked at Customer Service Desk, asked to see The Manager, saw someone in Morrisons uniform, possibly Customer Service supervisor/manager, explained showed ticket & credit card statement.
She wasn't particularly interested, said I should appeal to Parking Eye.
I did some shopping, saw shelf stacker, asked if woman at front was store manager, he said there was a Store Manager and section managers.
When I was leaving with my shopping, saw a man I recognised in shirt & tie, no uniform, asked if he was a manager, he was the Market Street Section Manager, explained, showed ticket & credit card statement.
Had a little discussion about using store late at night, not realising you have to pay, occasionally using store.
The store had changed car park to Pay & Display where you have to enter car registration number in May, it used to be patrolled, there was a notice in the car park lift.
He quite quickly agreed to cancel ticket, he went to office to cancel, came back said he filled in form to cancel ticket, he had put down I was a new customer, that's it it will be cancelled. If there's a problem to come back & see him.
Parking ticket has been cancelled 3 days later, I checked on Parking Eye website.
