Changed Bank Accounts - Mortgage Requiring Past 3 Months

Hi
I have 4 current accounts in total over the years, I switched one I barely used (but transferred £8k to over 5 months from main account, to withdraw in cash), was used for things like buying a car from a close friend, holiday money etc...
I switched the account in the past month to take advantage of the M&S bank offer, and gave the bank a couple of small direct debits to be valid (one credit card and phone bill).
Two weeks ago I applied for a mortgage, and they require 3 months statements from all bank accounts. They can see via a credit check I have the old accounts, but not the M&S money account. I have since been removed from internet banking, and cannot download old statements. Speaking to them, they want £25 per statement and will take them a while to get it.
Speaking to my mortgage provider, they just keep saying they want last 3 month statements from all my current accounts.
Should I submit minus the old account, and first statement from M&S
-or-
Pay the £75
As they really don't seem to give me a 'proper' answer.
Cheers
Edit - Worth noting my salary was never paid into the account I switched, just money transfers from main current

I did the same thing, but my old bank (natwest) just ordered the 3 months statements up to the close of the account for free.
I told my mortgage adviser what had happened and she was more than happy to wait while they came in the post. i also gave her my new 1 month statement from M and S.
Which bank is charging you?0
