Curry's very good service

Options
Found my Philips hot air frier was not controlling it's temperature, could not find the receipt but remembered which card I used so looked it up and found I bought it 30th December for £99.99 on offer.
Took it back to the shop and expected a bit of hassle with no obvious fault and no receipt but the assistant just asked for the card I used to check and told me they were now £139 and they had eight in stock and to go and pick one up. Gave me a new receipt and I brought it home.
Impressed with Curry's service

Currys take a lot of bashing and often it is not deserved. Most of our appliances have come through Currys. We have even managed to get a price match on a couple of occasions. When things have gone wrong Currys have, in the main, handled it well.

It's always down to the individual you deal with.

We've had good and bad with Currys, just as we've had good and bad with Argos and other stores.

Unfortunately, some staff seem to have attitude problems, and that's nothing to do with where they work. They seem to want some kind of power "fix" and abuse their position when it comes to perfectly reasonable requests for repairs/exchanges/refunds.

I don't think you can really say that, in effect you are accusing the people who have complained about poor service from Currys of lying, whereas I suspect they are being truthful about their experience. Personally I've not had any great issue when I have used them, but I would always exercise a degree of caution and certainly wouldn't rely on the expertise (or not) of their staff.

I did not imply anything of the sort (a weird jump out of reality there). What I was implying was that the ferocity and nastiness of some of the comments I have read are more reflective of a child throwing a tantrum rather than any reasoned mature comments embedded in reality. I know we all need to vent at some points (which is partially what this board is about) but when people do, you know to take their comments with a pinch of salt.

Many times it is simply peoples expectations are unrealistic; and many times it is Currys not quite getting it right - but even then we have only heard an interpretation of one side of the story.
