Can't stop spam emails

I know comping throws up A LOT of spam emails and this I can deal with as I just block them, but recently I've had a lot of spam emails that can't be blocked as "the sender's address isn't valid". Anyone else noticed this? How can it not be valid if they managed to send it to me in the first place?

Yes, it's on Outlook that I have the problem. Interesting read! At least I'm not alone, which is some comfort, I guess :cool::rotfl:

Short-n-Sweet

I almost had a nervous break down earlier. Come 5pm I had one email after another literally hundreds within 10 minutes. Drove me bonkers!

Half of them I have never heard of and I am pretty sure I have never signed up for anything with them. My Inbox scares me!

I currently have almost 2,600 unread. This is daily! I have to be in the right frame of mind to go through them all and that has not been today!

Are these all on btinternet addys perchance? Cos I've been getting then for weeks but not on my comping addy (not btinternet) just my private one.

Loads on btinternet here. They usually go into junk but a few have sneaked into the main inbox.
Most along the lines of "You have won a voucher " "You have finally won" etc.
I don't even try to unsubscribe as they will then know it's a live address :mad:

I've been getting a lot in my inbox and spam folder too, I never unsubscribe or click any links, but I do regularly forward them to Action Fraud, especially if it's a new scam format I haven't seen before.

No, it's on Outlook. I'm with BT for my internet but don't use their email, so not sure if it's connected somehow.

I am still getting loads from America on my gmail - over 50 a day - it is infuriating - it started a couple of months ago. Thankfully I am alright on my outlook but I don't comp with that account.

I hope you manage to stop it.
