I recently had thread on here saying I have had contact from my creditor saying they 'MAY" take further action against recovering my debt.
I have been on a DMP for four years now with Stepchange an this creditor has been receiving and accepting a monthly payment since.
The letter i received last month from them was regarded as a automated letter form you guys on here.
By the way the support and info i have received on here has been fantastic.
Anyway, another letter has landed on my doorstep today saying they "shall" be starting proceedings against me if the full ammount isn't paid by the 28th Oct. Friday this week, There is no chance i can do that.
Whats my options here?
Speak to them?
Speak to Stepchange?
Wait until further notice?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
This is quite rare when you are already repaying the debt, but it's nothing to worry about.
They will send you a claim form, which you complete and return, as per the instructions on the form.
If you admit the debt, as I expect you will, then judgement will be made against you.
All this means is that the court agrees you owe the money, they will set a re-payment amount, according to your budget, probably what your paying now, then payments will just continue as before.
Very little point in taking court action to be honest, how much is the debt for ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks for your replies.
The creditor is Zopa and was a personal loan.
Approx £3800
I have been paying various amounts per month ranging from £50 to £70 since 2012.
Amounts changed after every year after doing a step change budget review.0 -

Hi
I just came across your post.
I can see you’ve already been given good advice regarding what to do with a county court judgement if a creditor decides to take this action.
Just to let you know we are here if you’d like to discuss this further with an advisor or need help with how to complete a claim form if the creditor does decide take this route of collection.
In case you need a reminder of our contact details, you can find them here.
Take care,

Spoke to SChange this morning.
Pretty much said that is was probably another automated demand message and if they do decide to take things further then they can help me deal with what may happen.0
